The malecón (or pier) at Las Peñitas, Niaragua just outside of the city of León is getting a much needed facelift. Today Marcela and I take my daughters out to check out the new fountain, the mirador, and walk the beach before heading to Pirate's Point at the Simple Beach Lodge for some lunch on the sand. The kids were most excited to play with the hotel's new kittens.
