Palm Sunday – What Is It?, 4052

I’ve always meant to do this on Palm Sunday, but this is the year when Satan has made his first appearance on nationwide TV in America, and that signals that behind the scenes, Satan has taken the throne of world freedom by his ascent to the levers of power in the United States.

Never before in our history has discerning the truth become more important than it is today, and the best source of all truthful discernment is not The Still Report, it is the Holy Spirit of the Living God, which is what Jesus Christ brought to this world after his persecution and death by crucifixion.

Now, every human can have access to this Holy Spirit to some extent, however, if you want better access to it, you must seek it, and that means asking for it.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
Matthew 7:7 KJV

The secular world calls this access to perfect wisdom, “the conscience” - . you know, “let your conscience be your guide.”

But there is a way to access absolute truth more reliably than some random act of the conscience. Ask, seek and knock, and “… it shall be opened unto you.”
And nowhere else is this access to God’s free gift of the Holy Spirit better reviled than understanding the meaning of Christ’s last seven days on earth – Holy Week, from Palm Sunday, to next Sunday, Easter Sunday – or more rightly, Resurrection Day.

So, this Sunday is Palm Sunday, named after the palm fronds that the people along the roadside to Jerusalem placed in the road to honor the final passage of Jesus, to celebrate Passover Week. Passover commemorates the day of the Jews escape from the army of pharaoh, by the miraculous parting of the Red Sea.

As they approached Jerusalem, Jesus sent John and Peter ahead, with instructions to find a man with a donkey and its colt and say to the man that the Lord has need of the animals, and God would speak to the man and he would give them to the disciples.

We’ll let the Bible pick up the story from Matthew 21:6-9:

“The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David!’ ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ‘Hosanna in the highest heaven!’”

This morning, there is an amazing abundance of great news, which I shall attempt to cover over the course of the rest of the day, and into the evening.

I’m still reporting from just outside the citadel of world freedom. Good day.
