The Fear of the Lord is to know the character of God.

Psalm 25:12 NIV
 Who, then, are those who fear the Lord?    He will instruct them in the ways they should choose.[a]

Proverbs 2:7-8 NIV
 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,for he guards the course of the justand protects the way of his faithful ones.

Proverbs 1:7 NIV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools[a] despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 4:27 NIV
 Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
