Dungeons & Dragons - The Game Brought to Life | Movie Review

Our review of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves discusses how this movie is an innocent, fun, fantasy adventure film that does pretty well at honoring the source material while still appealing to the casual viewer. The best term that applies here is "crowd pleaser". Of course, a handful of hardcore D&D devotees are sure to complain that it wasn't a shot-for-shot remake of their current campaign in their mom's basement, but if the movie catered to their demographic only they'd pull in about 42 bucks worldwide at the box office. Dungeons & Dragons did the right thing in playing it safe and appealing to a massive audience and the Rotten Tomatoes scores seem to prove that.
