Our previous episode discussed the serious mental health problems many veterans face.
Now it's time to find out how The Battle Buddy Foundation is constantly working to help veterans
by matching them to a canine.
In this episode, Brett Henderson is joined again by Kenny Bass, executive director and
co-founder of The Battle Buddy Foundation. Kenny continues the conversation on how his dog
Atlas came into his life. Additionally, he explains why dogs must undergo long training before
being with a retired soldier.
Kenny discusses:
● How his mental struggles after being on active duty in Iraq led him to find his dog Atlas
● A description of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and its effects
● How should a service dog be trained
● The economic cost that involves training
● And more!
