Sunbelt cities benefited from a recovery in travel and entertainment which boosted industries like dining, hotels, and music venues.
The hottest job market in 2022 was Nashville, Tennessee, followed by Austin, Texas, and Jacksonville, Florida. The city with the largest amount of added jobs was Las Vegas.
The American South is relatively lower cost of living than the North, especially coastal cities. Affordability has wide appeal to families.
