The head of Ukraine's largest monastery, which has been at the center of a crackdown by authorities over its traditional ties to Russia, has been confined to house arrest for 60 days. The ruling came during Metropolitan Pavel's second court appearance today, after the first session was adjourned due to his ill health.

RT's Murad Gazdiev sent his report on the affair earlier.
