PK's Book Club: The Aeronaut's Windlass
Welcome to the Saturday Book Club, where we sit with some coffee and take some time to go through any book that is deemed interesting, bad, slow, amazing, or any other adjective you wish to assign to it. Just a time to honestly talk about what make literature fun and interesting. I also like to talk to its a winning situation.
Today, we are going to take a look at the first of the Cinder Spires novels by Jim Butcher, the Aeronaut's Windlass. It was an establishing novel for a new world, where the surface of the planet is uninhabitable, humanity lives in large spires sprouting from the ground, and they travel on large air ships using etheric current to fly. Its a cool concept. Lets break it down.
