Once upon a time there was a beautiful and vain rose that lived in a very beautiful garden.
She loved being admired and praised by people who passed by, but she didn't understand why her neighbors, the thorns, were always so quiet and why they never said anything about him.
One day, however, a strong wind began to blow and many flowers were uprooted from the garden, except the rose.
It was then that she felt that the thorns, which had seemed so useless before, were protecting her from harm.
The thorns, being pointed and having a firm structure, were like a physical barrier between the rose and the wind, making it difficult for them to pull the rose out of the ground.
From that day on, the rose learned to respect and thank the presence of its protective thorns, which helped it survive and continue to beautify the garden for much longer.
