Harnwell: Swiss pressured to ditch historic neutrality — president responds denouncing “war frenzy”

It’s not just the Austrians who are jealous of their neutrality. Their adjoining neighbour, Switzerland, has a whole national identity based around it.

Tenpercentskyy had been agitating for the Swiss constitution to be amended in Ukraine’s favour, but Swiss president Alain Berset politely declined: “As far as Switzerland is concerned, warfare is not part of the DNA” adding “negotiations with Russia were needed to end the war in Ukraine — the sooner the better.”
