Dave Filoni has managed over the years to build up a sickeningly—and sycophantly—devoted fan base by selling them on the idea that he was the heir apparent to George Lucas. He has pushed Ahsoka into everything: The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, her own show, faux Tales of the Jedi, etc. He and Jon Favreau are being hailed as the saviors of Star Wars...but they're not. Their brand of dumbed-down storytelling and clear lack of understanding of lore is the new norm for stuff branded Star Wars.
