Van Halen and U2 get pressed into service today for the Mayor's latest Segue City Special as he invades Sunday morning with a little bit more uptempo song than usual but that's okay as it is a beautiful day for getting out and doing stuff and not sitting on a patio on day sipping coffee or other beverages and being glued to your smartphone - fascinating name for it... apparently it is smarter than us...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
