The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world, covering an area of approximately 63.8 million square miles or 165.25 million square kilometers. It is roughly twice the size of the next largest ocean, the Atlantic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean stretches from the Arctic in the north to the Antarctic in the south and is bordered by the continents of Asia and Australia to the west and the Americas to the east.
