Battle Beyond the Sun (1959)

Battle Beyond the Sun (1962) tells the story of two post-nuclear holocaust superpowers, North Hemis and South Hemis, who are engaged in a competitive race to reach Mars. When a badly under-equipped rocket malfunctions and begins drifting toward the sun, its helpless crew must be rescued.
