Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet was originally an 2010 April Fool's prank, but there was such a demand by fans that Mattel actually made it into a "real" product. This is Mattel's April Fool's message:

"Hey, Hot Wheels fans. We’ve got a special sneak peek of one of our hot vehicle releases for 2011…it’s Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet! We worked really closely with our friends at DC comics to make sure the details were perfect."
