In case one forgot, the purpose of machines has always been that to do the heavy work of humanity. As they develop, it's obvious they can be put to more physical labor and data storing than possible.
Unfortunately, this sick society who's bent on keeping us as slaves of the intellect (aka learning things and behaving as if that is the highest form of living life as a human being) will make us obsolete in front of machines, which are inherently faster in any intellectual endeavor than us humans. One thing though, they will never reach consciousness levels so they won't be able to do anything of what a human being is capable of doing when transcending the intellect.
