Barcelona 'in contact' with Messi over possible return! | Rafael Yuste, FC Barcelona vice president

The vice president of FC Barcelona, Rafael Yuste, said on Friday during a press conference that the club and the father and representative of soccer legend Lionel Messi are in talks for a possible return of the Argentinian forward to the club where he spent most of his career.

33-year-old Messi, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, won a record six Ballon d’Or awards during his time at Barcelona as the top player in the world, and helped the club win 10 Spanish league titles and four Champions League crowns.

Messi arrived at Barcelona as a teenager in 2001, joining the club’s famed La Masia youth academy, and made his first-team debut in 2003 as a 16-year-old.

He holds the most individual records at the club, scoring 634 goals and making 276 assists in 731 appearances.
