Steel wire dry Drawing machine - Block thickness - Block deflection

From experimental tests, it has been seen that the ability to remove heat from the drawing blocks depends exclusively on the thickness.
The purpose of this study was to create a model and to analyze the deflection of the block with different thicknesses.

The study followed the following steps;

- Outline overall drawing of the machine
- Calculation of the process forces
- Set a model
- Run a finite element analysis
- Definition of the thickness and verification of the deformation.
