Sony Has Discontinued Some APS-C Alpha Cameras

Is Sony Discontinuing Their APS-C Alpha Camera Line?

In short, no but we have seen the a6300 get the axe and just this week the a6500 has joined the discontinued club.

To be honest, there have always been too many a6000-series cameras on the market. Fewer is not a bad thing. I get so many questions about which a6000 camera to purchase as 9/10 people don't know the difference between the a6000, a6100, a6300, a6400, a6500, and a6600.

But wait! Rumor has it that the a6600 "flagship" will be replaced this year with an official announcement coming sometime in May 2021.

As of today, don't bother looking for an a6500 as most sites will direct you to purchase the a6600 instead.

Similar form factor to the a7C
