Canon EOS R3 Fighter Pilot Infrared Eye-Tracking Is Coming!

You heard it right! The same type of infrared eye-tracking used in modern fighter pilot goggles is coming to Canon mirrorless camera EVF.

Today we look at 30-year-old technology that has been completely reworked and patented by Canon. This tech is being introduced into the Canon EOS R3 and may soon come to all Canon mirrorless cameras which use an EVF (Electronic View Finder) instead of the OVF of yesterday.

Eye-Control AF technology was first seen in the Canon EOS 5 or also called the Canon EOS A2 / A2e back in 1992 and has been "reimagined" :) and recommissioned.
