Enchanted Rose montage with Raspberry pi

This video is a montage of the process I used to build a mechanical enchanted rose that can drop its petals at the command of a remote computer. The rose was built as a prop for Disney's Beauty and the Beast theatre production my wife produced as part of her theatre company www.lytknox.com. I mounted a raspberry pi mini computer in the base of the rose to control electronic solenoids that drop each of the 8 petals from an iPad used as a remote control. This is a demo of the features and how it works. I'll also link a montage video of me putting it together.
