Chukar Hunt #2 at Triple J Wing and Clay

My friends Dean Ehlers & Mark Grun took me along on their second chukar hunt on 3/28/2023 at Triple J Wing and Clay, near Brillion, Wisconsin Mark or Bucky had seven more chukar’s to use by the end of March so we were running out of time to use the birds. Today Dean’s pups are named Julie & Encore. Encore is 10 and sometimes does fine, but she has some gun shy issues and today is just not her day. Julie is 13 and is just the perfect image of how a dog should work. Emmy is not with us today as she will be having pups is about four weeks, Dean did not want to bring Emmy out today as she would possibly work so hard that she could miscarry her pups. The weather was great again partly cloudy and 29 degrees at the start of our hunt at 8:30. We finished the day with six out of seven chukars. Thanks for including me on your hunt again guys it’s always fun to watch the dogs work!
