Wood Boiler Home Heating Electricity Free

Join Tom Stapleton as he shows the wood/coal boiler system that he uses to heat his off-grid home without the need for electricity. Using convection, a boiler below ground level allows hot water to flow into tubing in the slab (a crawlspace also works) to heat the floor from below. This system also heats the domestic hot water.

This is the first video in a series. Additional videos will show the domestic hot water, how to clear air out of the lines, how to clean this boiler, our solar electricity system, and even how we heated an indoor/outdoor bunkhouse for our dogs, to keep them toasty warm in the midst of a Canadian winter.
