The Mass Casualty Commission releases its final report into the Nova Scotia 2020 mass shooting. Commissioners Michael MacDonald, Leanne Fitch, and Kim Stanton speak at the event in Truro. A gunman killed 22 victims during the April 18-19th rampage in the worst mass shooting in Canadian history.

An independent public inquiry established by the federal and Nova Scotia governments, the commission began its public proceedings on February 22, 2022. It heard from over 230 witnesses as part of its investigation. Witnesses included RCMP members, first responders, victims' families, and the common-in-law spouse of the gunman. The inquiry released an interim report in May 2022.
