Day 12/21 John Chapter 12

The three key points of John Chapter 12 are:

1) Mary Anoints Jesus: In this chapter, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, anoints Jesus' feet with expensive perfume. This act is a sign of her love and devotion to Jesus, but it also foreshadows his impending death and burial.

2) The Triumphal Entry: This chapter also tells the story of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where he was greeted by crowds waving palm branches and shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" This event is often referred to as Palm Sunday and marks the beginning of Holy Week.

3) The Coming of the Hour: Jesus talks about his impending death and the purpose behind it. He says that the hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified and that his death will bring salvation to all who believe in him. He also warns that those who reject him and his message will face judgment. This sets the stage for the events that will unfold in the following chapters.
