Hi Tech Custom Concepts 14 Shell Ammo Carrier Review

The Hi-Tech Custom Concepts 14 Shell Ammo Carrier is a nifty little accessory for the Kel-Tec KSG. It allows you to carry an extra 14 rounds to the sides of your KSG! 14 shells!

It obviously doubles the weight of your rig if you have both tubes full as well as both sides of the carrier. In total, you are carrying 28 shells with an empty chamber using 2 3/4" shells. That's nuts!

The ammo carrier is a little pricey.. Right now it's $140. It might be worth it for some but it's a little high for the average shooter, I think. But if you are wanting to add some side saddle-esque accessory, this is a great option.

It's easy to install. When I installed it I felt like I screwed the set screws into the spacers pretty tight, but the carrier and spacers ended up sliding and scratching the rail. I might try to tighten it more but I am just afraid of over tightening them and breaking or ruining something.

Overall if you are in the market for something like this, it's a high quality part that will add a lot of ammo to your setup if you are willing to swallow the price tag.
