Steve Taunton

Steve Taunton is a local singer / songwriter / guitarist known primarily as the frontman for the alternative rock band NothingBox.

He also performs solo acoustic shows in and around Simcoe County and the Georgian Heartland area.

His music has been described as sonically reminiscent of 90’s era alternative rock, with songs that feature evocative, thought-provoking lyrics and imaginative, emotional melodies that draw the listener in and keeps them engaged with catchy, memorable hooks and relatable themes.

Taunton, originally hailing from Montreal, has been a prominent fixture in Ontarios’s hard rock and alternative scene for decades, playing in numerous recording and gigging acts in the region after having moved to Toronto in 1990.

His band, NothingBox has released three EP’s which garnered rotation on radio stations throughout the world, most notably in the US and Australia, for the singles Butterfly and Haunt Me.

Whether with NothingBox or playing solo, Steve Taunton is always thoroughly entertaining and original.
