How to mute someone on facebook messenger

To mute someone on Facebook Messenger, follow these steps:

Open the Facebook Messenger app on your mobile device or go to messenger.com on your computer.
Find the conversation with the person you want to mute.
Tap and hold on the conversation until a menu appears.
Tap on "Mute notifications" from the menu.
Choose the duration you want to mute notifications for - either for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours or until you turn it back on.
Tap "OK" to confirm.
Once you mute someone, you won't receive any notifications from their messages. You can still see their messages in your inbox, and they can still send you messages.
