1 Dead in 2 Separate Barge Accidents on Ohio River (Follansbee, Louisville)

• LOUISVILLE, KY:
- Two barges remain pinned at a dam near Louisville, Kentucky. One barge contains 2.8 million pounds of methyl alcohol, which is fatal if ingested and can cause an explosion hazard in water or air. So far, officials say all is okay and no methane has escaped.
• FOLLANSBEE, WV:
- One man died while cleaning a barge last Wednesday. His identity is unknown to the GodSpeed team, as is the cause of death.
