President Nixon announces the end of the Vietnam War | OldSchoolRepubs

Today, March 29th 2023, marks the 50th anniversary of the end of U.S. military involvement in Vietnam. President Nixon gave an address to announce that the final troops had returned home. Though March 29th had been recognized as Vietnam War Veterans Day after a 1974 Proclamation from Nixon, it became officially recognized as a national day of observance when President Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017.
