Trump says failed banks could have saved themselves if interest rates weren’t so high

Former President Donald Trump says he would not have bailed out Silicon Valley Bank, but instead would have lowered interest rates. Trump says the recent banking crisis happened because Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell “raised the interest rates too fast, too much.”
