Trump: Manhattan grand jury set to break for month

A source familiar with the proceedings has revealed that the Manhattan grand jury investigating Donald Trump’s alleged involvement in a hush money payment to a porn star is not expected to hear any evidence in the case for the next month due to a previously scheduled hiatus.

This delay could result in any indictment of the former president being postponed until late April at the earliest, although the grand jury’s timetable may be subject to change, Politico reported.

While the Manhattan district attorney’s office has not called the panel to convene on certain days in recent weeks, District Attorney Alvin Bragg has the authority to request the grand jury to reconvene during pre-scheduled breaks if the prosecutors wish to do so.
