McCarthy Commits to Signing Resolution Overturning Biden's WOTUS Rule

The Senate just followed the House’s lead and rejected Biden’s “WOTUS” rule.

This would roll back some of the Biden Administration’s overreaching regulations that expand the federal government’s authority over many waterways in the U.S.

Basically, the Biden rule hurts farmers, small businesses, construction companies, and water districts, by needlessly complicating our already complex permitting process. In effect: projects get delayed and become drastically more expensive, while environmental extremists grow emboldened.

Americans are already struggling under President Biden’s anti-growth agenda. Your government should be making it easier—not harder—to produce, work, and thrive in America.

I am going to sign this resolution, and I congratulate Chairman Sam Graves, Congressman David Rouzer, and the many Republican lawmakers who worked hard to stop government overreach and restore some common sense to Washington.
