2018 NES Classic Edition Giveaway! Who Won the NES Classic Edition? Drawing Our Winner!
In this video, we draw the winner of our NES Classic Edition Sweepstakes!
On July 12, we posted a video comparing the 2 versions of the NES Classic Edition. The first was the original one which launched in 2016, and we were lucky enough to get our hands on. The second is the 2018 re-release that has finally started hitting store shelves, basically killing the secondary scalper's market.
I love the fact that the NES Classic is back, it is such a great looking and performing machine. Yes, it has inherent lag and latency in the system, most noticeable in Punch-Out, but in the end, it's still amazingly fun. It's not a perfect system but it's darn good. I'm glad I have one, a launch edition, which leaves the question of what am I going to do with this one?
Since I already had an NES Classic did not need a second one. We decided to post a contest, using Gleam, where people could enter to win not just any NES Classic Edition, but the one featured in our video. The contest ran through the end of August 2018, so about 45-days or so, and we had a tremendous response. In the end, Jonathon Golden from NC was drawn as our winner. Congratulations to Jonathon and thank you to all those who entered for a chance to win.
I do want to take a moment and also thank those who went to Camila Gonzales' GoFundMe Page for entries, and not just that, but who actually donated. I saw many people from this channel who did actually donate in addition to visiting the page. That means a lot to me, thank you all.
