In this video, we have some breaking news from Hyperkin and the new Xbox Classic Pack for Xbox One X Collector's Edition!

We just got a press release from Hyperkin, regarding a new Classic Pack they have worked with Microsoft and the Xbox Team to help bring the retro love to the XBox One X. In the press release, posted below, Hyperkin shared that they have teamed up with Controller Gear to combine one of Controller Gear's amazing XBox One X skins with the Hyperkin Duke Controller and a month pass to Xbox Game Pass, all for one low price.

The included Duke controller is outfitted with the traditional transparent green casing, just like the controllers of the original system. The Duke has been renowned for how well it recreates the game play experience of the original, along with the same balance, buttons, and overall fit and finish.

In addition to the Duke, the Classic Pack also includes an Officially Licensed Console Skin for Xbox One X from Controller Gear. Much like the Duke, the system skin recreates the look and feel of the original transparent green XBox, thanks to the photo-realistic digital printing that Controller Gear utilizes. The triple-layer design uses a scratch-resistant laminate on the top layer to protect the graphics from being damaged over time. And, if you ever decide to remove the skin, Controller Gear uses a 3M Air Release Vinyl adhesive, which basically means it won't junk up your system with a bunch of glue residue.

Official Press Release:
Hyperkin to Release Officially Licensed Xbox Classic Pack on Dec. 3rd
November 23, 2018 – LOS ANGELES – Hyperkin, a Los Angeles-based gaming hardware developer, has announced plans to release the Xbox Classic Pack on Dec. 3rd, a throwback kit that gives your Xbox One X an Original Xbox makeover and a chance to try Xbox Game Pass. This officially Xbox-licensed Collector’s Edition kit – in collaboration with Controller Gear – will include the following items:
▪ 1 x Hyperkin Duke Wired Controller for Xbox One/ Windows 10 PC (Special Green Edition) – Officially licensed by Xbox
▪ 1 x Console Skin for Xbox One X: Original Xbox by Controller Gear - Officially licensed by Xbox
▪ 1 x Xbox Game Pass card with one month free of service
Not only is the Xbox Classic Pack a chance to relive your formative gaming years, but it’s a way to gain unlimited access to over one hundred Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Original Xbox titles – all through Xbox Game Pass. An invaluable service, Xbox Game Pass has something for everyone, making it easier to play titles that haven’t made it to gamers’ home collections.

I am, admittedly, not a huge XBox Fan; I've never owned an XBox myself and only played one a few times. I do like the way this is trying to capture the feeling of nostalgia, I simply wish the kit was also being offered to owners of the XBox One S, not just those who have the One X. Above and beyond that, the Duke is a very popular controller for the system and Hyperkin has received many positive accolades because of it, and the one month free of Game Pass is a good value.

If you are a fan of the OG XBox and want to relive those days with your XBox One X, the Hyperkin Xbox Classic Pack for Xbox One X Collector's Edition, which happens to be endorsed and is Officially Licensed By Xbox, is a great way to do so. The Classic Pack will be shipping on December 3, 2018, which just happens to be same day Sony is releasing their PlayStation Classic Console. Will a skin and controller be enough to combat Sony's Classic? We'll see!
