Breaking News! Eon Gaming Announces the GCHD MK II HDMI GameCube Plug And Play Adapter

In this video, we talked about the newly announced EON Gaming GCHD Mk 2 HDMI adapter for the GameCube.

Earlier this year, Eon gaming changed the way I, and many others, play the Nintendo GameCube. Their GC HD plug and play HDMI device for the GameCube made it possible for me to connect my system to my television via HDMI and get an amazing picture directly out of it. Since then, I've played my GameCube possibly more than any other system in my collection. Not to rest on their laurels, Eon Gaming is stepping up their game, no pun intended, with the GCHD MK2.

The original GCHD did so many things amazingly well, and the MK2 just takes it to the next level. It retains a lot of what made the original great, the dual-port design which allows it to lock into place securely and not have to worry about shifting when mounted to your system. The MK2 adds in support for toslink audio, a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack, and a new port that supports the Wii component cables. This means you can do all output from the MK2 to both HDMI or component video at the same time!

While their in-house development has been nothing short of exceptional, Eon gaming has partnered with Dan Kunz, one of the most respected people in the HDMI GameCube scene. This joint effort should lead to an even better product, better quality if you could even believe that was possible, and an overall more robust and intuitive system.

One of the best things about the MK2 is the fact that it maintains the original GCHD price. It will be coming in December 2018, and you can get your pre-orders in today at CastleMania games. Ryan will have a pre-order page up around the same time as this video, making sure that you can get your pre-orders in. If it is anything like the original demand should be extremely high and I would highly recommend pre-ordering one if you want one.
