Unboxing the Limited Edition Spice Orange GCHD MkII from Eon Gaming & Castlemania Games
In this video, we discuss the Spice Orange Eon Gaming GCHD MkII
"Dude, are you still up?"
That's how the conversation started. Ryan from CastleMania Games message me, giving me the inside scoop on something I have been e begging for, for a long time. I love my Eon gaming GCHD MkII HDMI adapter for my GameCube. The visuals and audio that I get out of it are simply stunning, hard to think that an almost 20-year-old console can look this good. But somehow the magicians over at Eon Gaming have made it happen.
One of my minor complaints about the GCHD MkII is the fact that, while they are available in three different colors, Spice Orange is not one of those. See, I have a Japanese Spice Orange GameCube that I absolutely love that I got for Christmas in 2017. And sure, nobody sees the back of my GameCube when it's in my display, but I know that it has a black adapter on an orange system, while my US Indigo system has an Indigo GCHD MkII. I can hear my indigo system mocking my spice orange system. Well, mock no more, Eon Gaming is now producing a limited edition Spice Orange GCHD MkII, available through Castlemania Games.
Now, I'm sure they're not doing it just to shut me up, however, they could be doing this just to shut me up. all the exact same features that we've come to know and love about this adapter still exists in the new spice orange limited edition. It still gives you exceptional videos out of the digital output on your GameCube, it allows you to use Wii component cables if you want to hook it up to a CRT, or another audio source if your monitor does not have speakers, and it can be used with an infrared remote to adjust your settings.
Eon Gaming will have these available at different conventions that they are attending in the future. My understanding, however, is that once they are gone, they are gone. You can also pick them up over at Castlemaniagames, and early indications are if you use promo code RoX10 you'll actually save 10% and gets free standard shipping and handling in the lower 48 states.
I'm excited to share this news with you, and even more excited to see everyone else who is also going to have a matching spice orange Eon Gaming GCHD MkII to go with their spice Orange Nintendo GameCube. It's also exciting to know that there still such passion for one of the least appreciated consoles Nintendo ever created, but it is definitely gaining popularity in the Retro community.
