I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has reached out to us regarding the current situation. It is very touching that so many are concerned for me and my family out there that I have never met in-person. It is very humbling and I cannot express my gratitude well enough. Thank you all.

I started hearing about this whole COVID-19 thing and was impacted in mid-February. There was a tradeshow I was supposed to attend in mid-March, but it was canceled in February. I also work with certain sporting teams, and we had word that some tournaments were first going to be played in front of no crowds, and eventually, they were canceled as well.

For the past several weeks I have been able to continue to work from home for my job. I'm very blessed to work for an amazing family who continues to look out for what's best for all of our employees. So thankfully, except for the fact that I don't have to drive to the office right now, my job is unaffected.

Here in Illinois, the entire state has been on lockdown for about a month at this point. Chicago's numbers make the entire state look like it's terrible here, which let's be honest living in Illinois is terrible, but overall the state is in decent shape. We've had a few cases in our part of the state, and the first death in the county on 4/6, however, that person was in their 80s with a number of health issues already.

When I had filmed this, MoGameCon had not canceled as of yet for 2020, and unfortunately, they have canceled. I am hugely disappointed in this, as currently, the only show I had planned on attending that hasn't canceled yet is the Southeast Game Exchange. With that being the case, we may try to hit some other shows, if possible. We'll see what happens with some shows in September and October when things have calmed down.

We're hoping to get back to normal sooner than later. The models all appear to be incorrect regarding this virus, by huge amounts. I am hoping the impact to the economy is as small as possible, but the possibilities of a global recession are guaranteed, and a depression is likely. You can't just shut off the global economy and not have huge negative impacts across the board.
