In this video, we visit with Mike Chi, the man behind RetroTink and the awesome RetroTink 2x, RetroTink Classic, and RetroTink Pro.

In the world of retro video games, getting a decent picture out of your old console can definitely be a challenge. For years there have been inexpensive AV to HDMI adapters that, well they adapter connector, they don't work very well, the colors don't look very good, and they introduce a lot of lag.

On the high end, there have been devices such as the Framemeister and the OSSC to take your component video outputs and line multiply them to get to a 480p signal or higher. The problem with these units is that they tend to be expensive and take a bit of time to get set up. for the hardcore enthusiasts, that's fine, but for the casual person who just wants to play and have his games look great, it can be a bit daunting

This is where Mike Chi comes in with his company, RetroTink. understanding that for most people getting a 480p signal looks fantastic, Mike set out to create a universal adapter that doesn't break the bank and is easy to use. The result was his first product, the RetroTink, which you can see our review of here at the link below:

Since its release, many people have provided Mike with feedback on this great device. The result is the new RetroTink 2x Pro, which adds in a lot of desired features, upgrades a few components, and makes an already great device greaterererer.

We want to thank Mike for spending some time with us to answer our questions and the questions of our subscribers. Make sure you follow him on Twitter for the most up-to-date information.
