Retro Pickup: Club Nintendo Wii Remote Holder #Shorts

In this YouTube #Short, I share with you a new find from the Facebook Marketplace, a Club Nintendo Wii remote holder!

The Nintendo Wii will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first system I got on launch day that I can recall, and it was the first system I bought after going through a really rough divorce. I spent a lot of time with the Wii, and in a lot of ways it was my emotional support. As such, if I can ever find unique or interesting items from the system at a reasonable price, I'm going to pick it up.

While perusing the local Facebook Marketplace, I happened to find a listing for a Club Nintendo Wii Remote Holder. If you're not familiar with Club Nintendo, it was something that Nintendo did that was kind of a rewards program. You could earn points to purchase reward type items, such as this, I know I have a set of Club Nintendo DS styluses, I have one that looks like a feather from The Legend of Zelda, and some other cool stuff. Nintendo has since replaced their Club Nintendo program with the Coin System, and quite frankly, Club Nintendo was better.

It looks like the little square can hold four Wii Remotes, however it has plenty of room to store other items, too. I wonder if you can store not only Wii Remotes but Nunchucks, Classic Controllers, you know, that sort of thing. This is in quite good shape, and looks practically brand new. I did ask the seller if they had any other gaming items they were looking to get rid of, and she informed me not at this time. I did let her know that I am a collector, and if she ever has items she's looking to part with in the future to let me know, I would definitely be interested in looking at them.
