Strategic Missile Forces launch a planned CPX involving Novosibirsk missile formation

In accordance with the Strategic Missile Forces Training Plan for 2023, a commission of the Strategic Missile Forces command is conducting a comprehensive control inspection of the Omsk missile formation with a command post exercise (CPX) with the Novosibirsk missile formation equipped with Yars mobile ICBM launchers.

◽️ A total of more than 3,000 troops and about 300 pieces of hardware will be involved in the exercise. The commission of the Strategic Missile Forces Command will check the coherence of the military personnel in carrying out their tasks.

🔎 During the exercise, it is planned to practise maneuvering actions of mobile Yars rocket launchers, which will cover the territory of three regions. The strategic missile personnel will also carry out a set of camouflaging measures and train to counter modern aerial reconnaissance assets in cooperation with formations of the Central Military District and the Aerospace Forces.
