Emotional Son Heung-min says he feels RESPONSIBLE for Conte exit and that he 'could have done more'

Son Heung-min has commented on the exit of head coach Antonio Conte from the club, saying he feels partially responsible.

Speaking after South.Korea's 2-1 loss to Uruguay in an international friendly in Seoul on Tuesday, the Korean captain said he could have done more on the pitch this season to support his manager.

"I should have played better", Son told Korean media, " I feel responsible for his departure, because I haven't helped the club all that much."

Son, who was the first Spurs player to speak on Conte's leaving, wished his ex-boss well as he moves on.

"I am really sorry." Son said, "I am sure he will achieve good results in other pursuits and I will be rooting for him."
