Hailing from Cameroon, Joel's first basketball practice in America resulted in all his teamate laughing at his kills set. I bet their pretty mum these days. His initial goal growing up in Africa was to become a soccer or Volleyball player ideally playing in Europe. It was at a summer camp that his athletisisim for basketball were first discovered and it would only take him a few short years to transform himself into NBA star. In one year her shot up from 6'9 to 7ft and his ruthless work ethic would allow JoJo turn those who doubted him into believers. Besides non stop time on the court he also closesly studied Hakeen Olajuwon a Nigerian born NBA player who also started out with ambitions to play soccer getting in on basketball in his teens. Just like Olajuwon who had been nicknamed the dream, Jo-Jo would call himself The Process, a nickname bestowed on his team that he would become the embodiment of.
