Following the destruction of Raccoon City, Leon S. Kennedy (Nick Apostolides) undergoes grueling training under Major Jack Krauser (Mike Kovac) and becomes an agent for the US government. In 2004, Leon is dispatched to rescue the president's daughter, Ashley Graham (Genevieve Buechner), who is being held captive in a village in Europe. While searching for Ashley, Leon encounters Luis Serra (André Peña), whom Leon's remote support, Ingrid Hunnigan (Raylene Harewood), confirms once worked for the Umbrella Corporation. Leon and Luis are captured by the village head, Chief Bitores Méndez (Jon Bryant), who injects Leon with a Plagas parasite. After escaping captivity, the pair separate, with Luis meeting with Ada Wong (Lily Gao). Leon rescues Ashley, who is also infected with a Plagas. Inclement weather delays their rescue helicopter, so they retreat to a castle after killing Méndez.
