The 5 things that will prevent your 1992-2008 6.5L Detroit Diesel engine from any further breakdowns/issues/problems:

1. Check your 2 batteries. If your 2 batteries have low voltage/low power, then I would suggest replacing them by going to Walmart & getting a EverStart 12V Battery for 1992-2000 Chevrolet/GMC 6.5L Detroit Diesel engine.

2. Check your battery wiring. Make sure all of your wires already to go and make sure the batteries don't go anywhere or else it would cause critical & serious issues.

3. Maintenance. Always maintain this very well by checking all of the fluids to make sure they're okay. If another thing happens like if the fluids need a little more in them, then please do it. I'd have you do maintenance every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday just to keep it running & doesn't break down. Including oil changes.

4. Use ONLY the Mobil 1 M1302A Oil filter for the 1992-2008 6.5L Detroit Diesel engine to prevent any further issues. And ALWAYS Change the oil filter when doing oil changes!!!

5. Replace the fill filter twice for the 1st half of the year & the 2nd half of the year.
