David Alan Carmichael cites the Tennessee Constitution (1796), the Religious Freedom Act (1786), the Remonstrance Against Religious Assessments (1785), the Constitution of North Carolina (1776) Blackstone's Commentaries on the Laws of England (1753) and the Ten Commandments (1400ish b.C), and the U.S. Tax Code to justify his paradigm-shifting declaration that the church, and the Holy offerings to Almighty God are not "Exempt" from taxation.
