Obviously the ideea to have quality things around you is not bad but only if the 15 min concept is not enforced the way its used in China. About traffic either way cities are swamped with traffic no matter how many new roads they build because more and more people will use the car as being the only viable option to move. This is what happens in USA now. In concept this is a great ideea as it will completly crush the Suburbian concept of people having all the benefits of Suburbia while driving their cars mostly to the city for everything and swamping city dwellers. Drivers tend to not respect walking areas and if they have the chance they will drive their car anywhere. Its a kind of car culture which is disrespectfull. For example in USA they even drive the cars on the Beach. If more roads will be blocked people will have to abadon their cars for regular things that they can do otherwise.
