The ideea of 15 minute community is poorly understood

The ideea of 15 minute community is poorly understood. Idealy the 15 min city means that all 15 minute areas to have parks, walking areas, malls, pools, schools, shops...so that suburbia is gone and people dont have to go to a city far away to get basic stuff. This is not a bad ideea and it will cut down the horrible suburbia which people there drive every day 20 km and more for everything they need since their local communities are not even a community. The way chinese understand the 15 min principle is to block people from getting out of the space and to register them to limit movement. This is definitely not the point. The ideea is that many people dont have anything in their area, its just a stream of suburbian houses with a shot and if they are lucky a mall farther away. This is true in every suburbian environment and even farther away. Also many cities have lost their parks due to parking lots, development...so they dont have much either.
