A special Easter egg hunt was held over the weekend to pay tribute to Sharon Kristjanson, a Lethbridge woman who passed away from cancer in 2016.

Her daughter, Mallory Kristjanson, says there were over 4,500 eggs hidden by students from Catholic Central High School for the kids to find. She also said it was an amazing way to honour her mom.

Kristjanson says this is the seventh year now for the annual Easter egg event.
