Up until recently, the apparent trajectory for Star Trek was a 2026 reboot, in conjunction with the 60th anniversary. But that might not be the plan anymore.

According to our sources, there has been a change behind the scenes, which will see the reign of Terry Matalas continue. But like Kathleen Kennedy was able claim Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian as her own, so was Alex Kurtzman and Secret Hideout reportedly able to do with Picard.
